At Jade Dental we accept most, if not all, regular dental insurance plans provided by employers or purchased privately. A regular “dental insurance plan” or “dental plan” is typically provided by employers as part of a health benefits package. It is important to understand your dental plan, and Jade Dental is here to help.
When you enroll as a new patient with us, we ask that you familiarize yourself with your dental plan, so that we can tailor your treatment plan to meet your financial needs. We will add your information to our system and ask that you inform us of any changes to your plan, prior to your appointment.
Some things you should know about your plan:
- What is covered each year?
- What is your deductible?
- Is there a total dollar limit on your coverage?
- Will you still be covered if you change jobs?
- How much is covered for cleanings and X-rays?
- How much is covered for fillings and root canals?
- What about other treatments like bridges and crowns, dentures and oral surgery?
At Jade Dental, we will build a treatment plan based on your dental needs; as obtaining complete oral health, balance, and harmony is our top priority. As set forth by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, we are not responsible for knowing your dental plan. However, what sets Jade Dental apart from other dental clinics is that we will take the time to work within your financial means, as best as we can. We understand that the cost of living is on the rise, and at Jade Dental we remain committed to finding the right balance between your dental and financial needs.
One of the easiest ways that we can ensure that your treatment will be covered is by submitting an “estimate” to your dental benefits administrator; who will in turn provide you with a “predetermination of benefits”, which will show you what services are covered and the limitations of your plan.
Other ways we can help align our treatment plan to your dental insurance plan is by triaging and staging your treatments over time. Depending on how urgent the problem, treatments can certainly be differed or staged.
We remain confident that if your dental plan coverage and our treatment plans don’t align, we will be able to find other solutions or alternatives. Our philosophy remains rooted in transparency, communication, sincerity and compassion.
