Dr Michael Tran, BSc. DDS
Dentist, General Practice, Owner and Founder
Dr. Tran was born in Ottawa, Ontario and grew up in the Alta Vista Community. He attended the University of Ottawa where he completed an Honor’s Bachelor of Sciences with a Major in Biology and Minor in Ageing Studies. During his undergraduate education, Dr. Tran worked extensively with the elderly at Bruyère Palliative Care and The Ottawa Hospital, focusing in on Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research.
Dr. Tran further went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Western Ontario. Upon graduation, Dr. Tran enrolled in Hospital training at the London Health Sciences Center in London, Ontario where he completed his General Practice Residency. This provided Dr. Tran with experience in surgical procedures and treating medically compromised patients. Dr. Tran most enjoyed working alongside the Radiation Oncology Department during his Head and Neck Cancer Rotation.
Dr. Tran then moved back to Ottawa. Dr. Tran spent time associating in the community and teaching at Algonquin College in the Dental Hygiene Program. When the opportunity arose with the construction of the new Jade Apartment’s at the heart of Ottawa’s Chinatown, Dr. Tran decided it was time to embark on the creation of Jade Dental. As a first generation Vietnamese-Canadian, Dr. Tran had always wanted to give back to the Chinatown District, a community that stands strong with immense vibrancy, diversity, and heritage.
Dr. Tran’s goal is to preserve the community fabric by providing health and healing; bringing forward a focus on sincerity, patience and kindness. Dr. Tran welcomes you to a lifelong experience of balance, beauty, and harmony.

Nicole was born in Ottawa, Ontario and grew up in the Pleasant Park Community. She completed both Level I and Level II Dental Assisting Certifications and worked in the community for a number of years, before returning to La Cité Collégiale to complete her training in the Dental Hygiene Program. Nicole has been offering care to the community as a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 12 years.
Nicole strongly believes in delivering a comprehensive hygiene program, to ensure her patients are well taken care of. She is excited to provide the tools, education, and guidance to her patience and is motivated to provide lifelong stability and oral health.

Trina joins Jade Dental as the Lead Office Administrator and the Co-Ordinator of Patient Experience. She was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario and has been working in the health care field since 2023. Trina is focused on providing you with a point of contact to our team, and is motivated to ensure you receive the best experience possible during your visit. No question will be left unanswered, and if you require assistance with your bookings, insurance claims, or other information; Trina will provide you with direction, with care and attention.
